Ceramic Vase by Ashe Nipe
2026 D. Bradley Smith Art Purchase Award Winner

The Artwork

Photo of the Artist Ashe's piece is a tall ceramic vase. A lustrous twirl of saturated colors spiral around the piece, accented with a thin thread of gold.

Ashe values and enjoys the emotional attachment of heirlooms as well as making new items that will be passed down. Passionate about art since very young, Ashe attended a number of art camps and explored developing their artistic skills in many different materials. Always looking for new forms of visual expression, during senior year Ashe interned with the school's set design program, helping to both build and paint the sets for the middle and high school plays.

Ashe is planning a gap year before college and then will study art conservation at Marist University in Florence, Italy.
